Published 03/03/2018 Shop the gown here: Silk Baptismal Gown I made this gown at the last moment for my friend’s little girl, M. I used ivory silk chiffon, diamond white silk charmeuse, and white guipure lace. (I would’ve dyed the lace, but the lace stands out when the lining is a different shade.) I chose this guipure lace from my stock because it looked the most Nordic and M’s ancestors are from Sweden....
Here are a few photos of a recent custom order (designed by the bride). I absolutely love how the outfit turned out! I used Alencon Ivory lace and Cream Poly/Spandex for the lining and underlining of the blouse and shorts. The blouse was self drafted to fit the bride & I used a Burdastyle shorts sewing pattern (with adjustments) as a guide for the shorts pattern. Side Invisible Zipper...
