This linen peasant blouse is reminiscent of a blouse my babcha embroidered before she immigrated to the United States. My mother started the embroidery this spring and I finished sewing it just in time to enter it into a contest! The blouse is 100% thick ivory linen. (I love this linen! Last Minute Blue Bridesmaid Dress with Bow

A couple weeks ago, a lady asked me to (literally) whip up a bridesmaid dress for her! On Sunday, she approached me and asked if I could make her a blue bridesmaid dress before her wedding on Saturday. Her original dress no longer fit her and the style/quality didn’t suit the occasion. I told her if she bought the fabric and pattern before Tuesday, I ‘d drop all my projects and sew the dress! She chose a royal blue polyester (which resembled a thick dupioni silk) and  the 2444 Simplicity pattern.
